Shish kabobs, Mr. Frederick style

This is how my dad used to always make shish kabobs. I tend to go with a more Indian/Middle Eastern preparation, but this is still a good standby.

1 package stew meat

1 bottle of Italian dressing

2 green peppers, cut into large chunks

1 red onion, cut into large chunks

1 package cherry tomatoes, left whole

pineapple, cut into chunks

white or baby bella mushrooms, left whole

skewers, preferably metal.

salt and pepper

Take meat, season with salt and pepper and marinade in Italian dressing, 1 hour to overnight. Feel free to do the same with veggies (not pineapple, but it isn’t necessary.

Preheat grill. Season veggies with salt and pepper. Thread ingredients on skewers, being careful not to overload.

Grill until meat is cooked through, turning once, probably around 5-7 minutes per side.
