Rumaki

This is probably my “signature dish” that everyone expects me to cook. My mom always made it growing up, and I changed it around a bit with the addition of honey, soaking the toothpicks and adding the extra brown sugar at the end.

Aunt Barb dip

Bourbon-spiked short ribs and cheesy grits

This recipe is inspired by what was my favorite brunch dish at Tallula, an Arlington restaurant I enjoy. When they took it off the menu, I took matters into my own hands. The ribs could be done in the crock pot.

Risotto

Risotto is one of my favorite things to make. A) I love the taste B) It’s pretty easy once you figure out the basic recipe. C) It’s also really easy to adapt to your taste.

This recipe is for a lemon mushroom risotto I got out of a vegetarian cookbook and then amended. I’m also including this recipe variations for making butternut squash risotto and shrimp asparagus risotto.
