Smoothies are an easy choose for a Mostly Meatless March (which is now a Twitter hashtag! #MMM) breakfast, and I tried to up the protein in this one with yogurt and almond milk (which I’m trying for the first time. It’s ok?). Enjoying the frozen mango I got at Trader Joe’s this week.
1/2 cup – 1 cup mixed frozen berries
1/2cup – 1 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup almond milk
squeeze of ginger paste
juice or other liquid, to taste (I used some leftover Diet Hansen’s Tangerine Lime soda), for blending
1/2 small container of Greek yogurt (plain)
Add frozen fruit to blender – chop up on “crush ice” mode. Add remaining ingredients, puree, and enjoy. Makes about 1.5 smoothies.
