Feta Dip

We had people over for a Board Game Day on Jan. 2, and in the spirt of the New Year, I made a bunch of healthy snacks for the crowd: fruit, veggies and hummus, hard boiled eggs, and this dip (ok, maybe not the healthiest but I served it with homemade pita chips and cuke slices!). Easy to do, and you just may have the ingredients on hand as I did.

About 1.5 cups feta cheese, cubed

1/2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup toasted walnuts or pecans

fresh oregano, a pinch

black pepper

1 tsp lemon juice

dash hot sauce

chopped black olives, for garnish

chopped roasted red peppers, for garnish

pita chips and cuke slices for serving

Combine ingredients cheese through hot sauce in food processor. Pulse to desired consistency. Top with olives and peppers and serve with chips and cukes.
