Onion Meatballs

Probably wouldn’t make this again, but a basic recipe from my Alcatraz cookbook.

2 pounds ground beef

5 slices bread

1 cup milk

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 package Lipton onion soup, with water added (according to directions)

olive oil

Break ground beef in bowl. Remove crusts from bread and crumble into meat. Add baking powder, salt and pepper and mix well. Form into small balls. Brown in olive oil on stovetop.

Put in deep baking dish. Pour soup over meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve over egg noodles
