Clam and Shrimp Boil

This was a fun dinner to go with Fire Thursday. I kept the kielbasa amount lower to keep calories down.


2 dozen clams

1 pound shrimp, peeled

3 ears corn, halved

4 small white potatoes, halved

1/2 package kielbasa, cut into six pieces

1/4 cup old bay seasoning

a few bay leaves

2 onions, quartered

handful peppercorns

salt and pepper

2 lemons, halved and juiced

Bring 4 quarts of water to a boil with bay leaf, Old Bay, lemon/lemon juice, onion, peppercorns and salt and pepper. Simmer for five minutes. Add potatoes and cook for 15 minutes. Add kielbasa and cook another 5 minutes. Add corn and clams and cook another 4 minutes. Add shrimp and cook for four minutes. Drain and serve. We served with tomato/cucumber/mozzarella salad and bread.
