Homemade pizza has been making more of a regular appearance in our house since we’ve been eating at home due to John’s broken leg. It’s easy, it feels like a treat (without being as junky as takeout) and it’s good for using up random CSA odds and ends. I use this basic dough. Here are a couple topping combos we’ve liked. Next thing to try – eggplant, I think, though I’m not convinced I’m going to like eggplant on pizza.
*Pepperoni and banana pepper (tomato sauce)
*Pepperoni, hot and sweet peppers and onions (tomato sauce)
*Tomato slices, rosemary, garlic, basil, spinach and mushrooms (white pizza)
I like to sautee peppers, onions and mushrooms before topping the pizzas with them
