Ciabatta, Take 1

This was my first attempt at ciabatta. I thought it turned out a little burned, but I also wasn’t using my old oven, etc. Also would have liked to see more of a rise on the bread.

Chocolate Pecan Brownies

Had a bit of a mixed experience with this brownie recipe. I made some in these mini heart-shaped containers and those turned out nearly perfect. Did the rest in the pan and they ended up very underdone, and I didn’t realize it until after the fact. I’ll know to cook those considerably longer next time.

Massaman Curry

I made Massaman Curry for Valentine’s Day and it was a big hit. I adapted this from this Martha Stewart recipe but used chicken and veggies in lieu of the beef. We had with rice, an improvised cucumber salad, and bread.

Vietnamese Marinade for Chicken and Eggplant

This is the marinade I used for the rice noodle bowls for my Vietnamese noodle bowls, also from VFAD. Would work for beef or shrimp as well, since that’s what the recipe recommends (I used chicken and eggplant).
