This was the dramatic centerpiece dish served for Christmas Potluck. I based this fairly closely off of an ATK recipe. So good! Lots of steps, though.

The picture here doesn’t really do it justice, but I really was happy with the flavor and colorful nature of this turkey soup recipe (particularly given the fact that next-day turkey soups can be bland and uninteresting, both in taste and appearance). The secrets – Asian flavors and rainbow chard.

Applejack Cider
I’ve combined Applejack with cider before, but this Cooking Light take on the combo was also reminiscent of hot buttered rum.
Truffled potato cauliflower mash
Man were these good. My mom bought truffle butter at the store and I decided to make it a last minute addition to our mashed potatoes. Originally I was going to use it in brussels sprouts but I think I made the right call.

Vanilla bourbon pumpkin tart
My family liked this recipe, but I confess I thought the texture was a little off – too soft or something. Terrific crust, though. Not going to convert me from pumpkin cheesecake, utimately.
