This was one of the biggest hits from Thanksgiving, which we did as an appetizer in the crock pot.

Four Thanksgiving Appetizer Snacks

I made these four snacks from Bon Appetit for Thanksgiving appetizers. The crackers were in particular hits. I’m just going to link to these for ease.

Old Bay chips with lemon mayo

Rosemary sizzled salami, dates, and pecans

Chipotle cheddar crackers

Za’atar fire crackers

Chicken/Walleye Curry

I made this Smitten chicken curry recipe but did half fish and half chicken. It worked fine for either.

Chili Crisp Sweet Potatoes

I made a riff on these sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving, subbing fried onions with the bread crumbs (also subbed honey for the syrtup in the testing but got syrup for the holiday).

Foccacia Onion Board

This was a fabulous recipe for a group breakfast; I’ve already made it twice. I like adding 200 grams of my prefermented dough to add additional flavor.

Chicken Cutlets

Didn’t necessarily need a recipe for chicken cutlets, but these were so good I figured I’d note this.

For a gluten-free version, I went with gluten-free panko, which is sort of like a rice crispy-style coating – worked fine!
